Good Lemonade!

A few days ago, I was reading a wonderful little book by Alan Cohen called "Relax Into Wealth". In it, it tells a story of a friend of his who wrote a book called Good Lemonade.

The story is about a boy named Hank who sets up a lemonade stand in front of his house. During his first few days on the job, Hank attracts only a handful of customers and no one returns.

So he tries all kinds of gimmicks and come-ons to attract customers: he offers discounts, paints the cups, and hires two go-go girls to come and dress up as lemons. After a week of this sort of thing, Hank still only makes a few sales.

Then Hank discovers that another kid has set up a lemonade stand down the block, and he has a long line of customers every day. Hank decides to stand in the long line to find out why the other kid is selling so much lemonade. When he tastes the lemonade, his eyes light up.

It really is good lemonade!

Hank dashes home and mixes his own lemonade with fresher lemons and a little more sugar. the next day, he finds a long line of people standing at his lemonade stand, waiting for their cup of good lemonade.

So...what does this have to do with Liberty League?

Simply this....every week I talk to dozens of people who are looking for the "secret" to making money from home. Just yesterday I had an instant message from a guy named Jim who wanted to pitch me on another "latest, greatest hottest deal" that's supposedly designed for all those people who are looking for an automated system with all the bells and whistles.

(I had to smile. I thought about Hank the Lemonade Boy hiring those girls to dress up as lemons.)

And Jim is probably a good guy. But, when his deal gets shut down (which is a copy of two other such deals that were both shut down within six months), he'll probably bounce into another one.

Why? Because he's chasing the gimmicks.
He's buying into the story that "making money is hard" and that you need lots of flash and pizazz to attract people.

Maybe that's true for Jim. What's also true for Jim is that he's been around this industry for a long time and he's still jumping from company to company.

I think I'll just stick with having Good Lemonade. It makes more sense to me to tell people that our product is great and our pay plan is great....but that if you want to make a multiple six-figure income....

...yeah, you're going to have to make some changes that can't be made by having a flashy system with lots of bells and whistles.

You're actually going to have to show up.
You're actually going to connect with another human being.
You're actually going to become a leader. Probably in ways that you never imagined you could.
And, yes, you will have a really nice system to make your business simple and effective.....but the system is secondary.

The biggest advantage we have is that we just have GOOD LEMONADE.
And not just flash, glitter, glitz, pizazz, and hype.

It feels good to be able to make so much money by just being honest and authentic with people. And it certainly beats having bad lemonade and trying to dress it up as something it's not. :)

So, why aren't you already rich?

Chances are good that you probably aren't rich yet. Do you want to know why? There is an answer. And I'll share it with you. But, first, let me offer you some related questions:

1. Why do people NOT drink 8 glasses of water a day when they know it's good for them?
2. Why do people eat at McDonald's when they know it's bad food?
3. Why do people smoke cigarettes even though they know it causes disease and death?
4. Why do people NOT set aside some of their money for investing even though they know all wealthy people do?

The answer: small errors in judgment compounded over time. Or, to put it another way, they know that the short-term payoff is going to be small so they're not motivated to do it.

But, try this on:

What if you knew the next cigarette you smoked would kill you instantly?
Answer: the tobacco industry would bankrupt overnight - snap - just like that.

See, no one plans on getting cancer and dying. They just figure that quitting smoking tomorrow will be just as good as doing it today. After all, what difference does a day make? Or another Big Mac? Or another day of not investing money?

You're smart. You see the point.

And it's the same way with choosing to be wealthy. One of the differences between wealthy people and broke people is that wealthy people choose to be wealthy today. We make decisions today based on the results we want to have.

It's an easy thing to do. But, as with most things, if it's easy to do....it's easier not to do.

It's easy to stay stuck.
It's easy to get involved in another business that you already know isn't going to get you where you want to go.
It's easy to follow the crowd.
It's easy to let broke people tell you what you should do.
It's easy to make a decision tomorrow.
It's easy to let someone else think for you.

It takes a little more fortitude to make bold decisions and to take a path that most people aren't willing to take, even though that's where all the rewards are.

When I "got" this....when I realized that the only way I was going to be successful in a home-business was to start thinking for myself instead of following the masses.....that's when I started seeing major results.

Liberty League International is all about making decisions NOW to get the results you want NOW. It's about creating a "life without limits" NOW....not 3-5 years down the road. It's about being the owner of your life NOW....not when you have a few thousand people on your team.

Question: when would NOW be the right time for you to start earning thousands of dollars each week?

What level of this chart are YOU on?

FACT: most of the people you see every day are engaged in "survival-thinking". Only a handful are engaged in "success-thinking".

If you're not familiar with Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs (pictured here), take a look at the bottom two levels. These are the areas that -- according to Maslow -- give you ZERO positive emotional payoff if you achieve them. But they DO give you a very NEGATIVE emotional payoff if you DON'T achieve them.

This is where most people operate. They spend all their mental resources thinking about food, shelter, clothing, and paying the bills.

They focus on how they're going to get from this payday to next payday. In many cases they're "robbing Peter to pay Paul"; that is, they're running late on their mortgage so they can pay their insurance.

And make no mistake about it: these aren't just people living below the poverty line. Some of these people are making $50,000 a year.

In fact, if you were to poll 1,000 people who earn only $25,000 a year, I'd guess that most of them would think that their life would be problem-free if they earned $50,000.

But it wouldn't. Why? Because they're so accustomed to "doing without" that they don't even have some of the bills that they SHOULD have. Like health insurance. And life insurance. And putting aside a portion of their earnings into investments.

So, when the $25,000 earner gets to $50,000 they often find that they're STILL not living the lifestyle they wanted. They're just operating at a higher level of survival.

Liberty League International is all about helping people achieve the top THREE levels of Maslow's hierarchy of needs; look at the chart. These are the areas where you not only have the basics of life handled....but you're finally able to focus on things that DO give you a huge emotional payoff.

You can spend time with your family.
You can focus on your art.
You can visit the exotic locations on the planet.
You actually have time to sit down with your child and watch them draw a picture.
You can sample the best quality foods, fabrics, clothing and experiences.
You can hire people to make your life easier (a lawn man, a nanny, a personal chef, a trainer, etc.)

So, let me tell you something you already know: you don't live this way on $25,000 a year. Or even $50,000 a year. And usually not on $100,000 a year.

Don't get me wrong. Everyone has to start somewhere. And any new step on that ladder is a step in the right direction. But, when you join Liberty League International and you find how simple it is to achieve a $25,000 per MONTH income.....you'll begin to find that the life you've wanted has been waiting for you all the time.

Where are YOU spending your time? On the bottom two levels of Maslow's chart?

Are you ready to create the kind of freedom and income that will allow you to tap into the top levels?

It all begins with a choice. Contact me for details and I'll be glad to share with you a very special mastermind group I'm putting together within Liberty League International that will assist you in achieving your goals.

I'll look forward to speaking with you!
